In Luke 4 Jesus reveals his identity in his hometown of Nazareth in fulfillment of Isaiah 61. No one is surprised by his claim, even with the familiarity of knowing him as Jospeh’s son. But everything changes when Jesus recalls the history of Elijah and Elisha. Won’t you just let Jesus love you?
